The second round of the East Anglia Region BMX Race Series was at Codham Park, a fantastic venue developed and run by EA Pure Racing’s Josh Peters family. Our South West Region team mates made the long journey to catch up with the team before Derby National next week.
Josh
Josh made the decision to Race up at regional level, as he needed more challenging riders to put the same pressure on him as he experiences at National Level.
Josh’s group only had 6 riders so this made for Grand Prix racing so every race counted, Josh had some super close racing with Myles Fisher & Dan Blanche every moto was exciting to watch with lots of close calls and squeezing, Josh took three moto wins and in the final had a poor start out of the gate making passing almost impossible between Myles and Dan, but luckily all Josh had to do was settle for 3rd to take the Overall Win of the Day. Josh was pleased that his first race in the 10’s was a successful one!

Ethan
Ethan was looking forward to racing at Codham. Being such a long and partly uphill track, it was the ideal venue in preparation for next week’s 3rd. & 4th. Round of the Nationals at Derby.
He took comfortable wins in the 3 motos. Final time saw him take the snap out of the gate and the lead into the first corner. However, his good buddy Arran Dalywater was not going to let him get away that easily. A move up the inside on the 2nd. Straight forced Ethan to push that little bit harder resulting in a good win.

Arran
After arriving at Codham for the first time; I was looking forward to getting on the track. Practice went well; all be it a little cold. It was good to see all the EA Pure riders at the race, and safe to say we all had a good laugh.
Motos went well for me and I easily qualified to the final with 1st and 2nds. The final came around quick and it seemed my luck had changed; hitting the gate and unclipping I was dead last. While trying to pass the pack, and giving teammate Ryan some words of encouragement in the first corner, I started to pick my way through the pack. I ended up 3rd; not too bad after coming from the back!
A good days racing made better by the “sweet” team atmosphere - cheers guys!
